Gas prices on the rise in Philadelphia

Gasoline prices have remained steady for the nation, but not for Philadelphians. As of this morning, the average price for a gallon of gasoline in Philadelphia is $2.73. Gas in New Jersey remains near $2.53, and the nation is looking at an average of $2.69 a gallon. City of Philadelphia plans to cut funding to PCDC

For over three decades, the Philadelphia Commercial Development Corp. has provided financial support to local minority businesses and start up companies. To date, much of the PCDC’s funds are received from state and federal grants provided by the city of Philadelphia. In early July, the city plans to cease its funding of PCDC, and to redirect those funds, in whole or in part, to other established goverment agencies.
